    I listened to the unabridged version of this book on tape back in 1995 when I was working at the US Postal Service, and I loved it. I'm reading it for myself now because in some weird way, I fancy myself the black female version of Tom Wolfe.

    Shannon Holmes: Bad Girlz : A Novel
    In a word, booooooo! I absolutely loved B-More Careful, which was Holmes' first book, but this one sucked to be quite frank. It had it's moments, and it was a quick read, but I got tired of all the hood talk rather quickly and I didn't really care about the characters. Some of the situations seemed unrealistic and that was the one thing I appreciated about B-More, the realism. Read it if you want, but don't get mad at me if you don't like it. (*)
